How much is a good facial?
For a 1-hour full facial, you should expect to pay anywhere between $125 and $250. This is for a custom European facial using professional products. For other types of skin care treatments, advanced facials can be more in the range of $150 to $300 or more. The more sophisticated the facial treatment, the higher the price. Some types of skin care services require the Aesthetician to have extra certifications, for example Chemical Peels, Dermaplaning or Microdermabrasion, in addition to their state's Esthetician or Facial Specialist licensing. How often should you go for a facial?
The rule of thumb for when to get a facial is once a month on average. When we're younger, our skin cells turn over at around 28 days, but as we age, our cell turnover slows. So, the 4 week mark is aimed at bringing the skin back to that youthful state. Depending on your age and your skin's condition, 3 weeks might be better for you - especially if you're dealing with sun damage, wrinkles or excessive dry skin.
