What to Expect During Your Obagi Chemical Peel
The procedure begins with a double-cleanse and the application of a prep solution. Protective ointment will be applied under your eyes and around your nostrils to minimize any chance of irritation. The first layer of Obagi Blue Peel Radiance is then applied to your skin. You might experience some mild tingling sensations, lasting about one to three minutes, but any mild discomfort will be alleviated with gentle fanning. Depending on your skin and concerns a second layer may be applied. Once the skin has completely absorbed the peel, it will be gently removed and your skin will be cleansed again. Finishing treatments and hydrating products along with sun protection will be applied to complete the procedure.

Prior to receiving this treatment, please make sure to let me know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have any allergies, are prone to cold sores/fever blisters or are using topical and/or oral prescription medications, including: Tretinoin, Retin-A, Isotretinoin, Accutane, Differin, Tazorac, Avage, EpiDuo or Ziana.
Post-Care Instructions
After the Obagi Blue Peel Radiance treatment, you must avoid any excessive heat or trauma to the skin for 24-48 hours. This includes, being out in the sun, bathing in hot water, sitting in a steam room, sauna, or hot tub, engaging in strenuous exercise or receiving a massage.
